A: The purpose of an interior decorator is to consult a client regarding their interior decorating needs and desires, and to present them with a variety of options through which they can achieve their decorating goals. Interior decorators are responsible for researching, purchasing and supervising all phases of the decorating process. Q: How much does it cost to hire an interior decorator? A: All interior decorators use different billing methods. At Kathleen Quinn Interiors, we charge an Initial Consultation Fee of $150.  From that point forward our fees are based on each clients specific needs. Q: What should I do before consulting an interior decorator? A: Before consulting an interior decorator you should do as much research as possible. Collect pictures of rooms or spaces that reflect your style. These pictures will help steer your interior decorator in the right direction – remember pictures are worth a thousand words.
